was born in Surrey, England, and now lives in Ogonnelloe. She has loved stories since childhood, listening to her Irish mother and grandfather tell them when she was young. When she learned to read, she discovered the joy of books,and later, as a teacher in schools where storytelling was valued, she found she could visualise stories and create them as she went along. Monica has a new book - Child in the mountains out which Jim Is launching this weekend.

From the 25th to the 27th of September, you can look forward to a great weekend of traditional music as the Cnoc na Gaoithe traditional music weekend returns to Tulla with a great line-up of concerts for people to enjoy. Harvest Day is a much-loved event which returns to Bunratty Castle & Folk Park on Sunday the 20th of September where visitors will get to experience rural life from over 100 years ago. Events manager, Marie Brennan spoke to Daragh and Jim to tell us more.

Weaving is a traditional crafts that continues to evolve today with a young man from Co. Mayo who has made it a full-time career for himself. Daragh Leamy spoke to Tom Delaney of Ould Crafty who will be visiting Clare on September the 20th for Harvest Day in Bunratty Castle & Folk Park.

The Irish Red Cross in Clare are facing tough times ahead following a road traffic accident earlier in the month, where they lost a 15-seater Community Support vehicle, the branch is facing a €500,000 replacement bill. Honorary Treasurer of the Irish Red Cross Clare Branch, James Lafferty, told us about the support they need from the people of Clare.
